Chobani Bites

I have grown up my whole life never really being a fan of yogurt. I have always been one who has been a super picky eater you see. I most likely can tell you the things I love way easier & faster then to tell you those in which I do not love & hate. Now do not get me wrong their is a few yogurts that I do like such as the twix yogurt the ones with the little rabbit on them. I love the banana ones! Those are my favorite but one day I was at Target & I found yogurt called Chobani Bites. I decided I wanted to give them a try. Well let me just say that I have fallen in love with them now as well.

Here are the ones I love from Chobani Bites:

I love that for me I found something that is super easy for on the go that I can take & eat on the way to work. With me being a nurse I already have to wake up early enough as it is so any little bit of extra sleep I can get of a morning is a blessing to me.

Thoughtful Little Proposal

So I was on Facebook last night when I noticed one of my friends had liked a post. I seen how it was a cute little proposal so I decided to read it as well. I am so glad that I read it because too me it was so very sweet. Its even nicer that it was done so close to home so I knew exactly where they was talking about in their post. So I decided to share it with you sweet ladies on the blog :) So enjoy!

My fiance proposed September 22nd, the first day of Fall. My parents had flown into the Knoxville airport for a wedding the following day. His mother came up to visit us for my fiance's birthday. We picked up my parents from the airport & then went back to Chattanooga where we live to have dinner with his mother & my parents. My fiance had been on his phone all day & kept stressing about how we needed to get back to Chattanooga ( my parents flight was delayed). When we returned back to Chattanooga we went to go change clothes at my house. I walked out in sweats & a jacket & he said, "you are wearing that? now I feel under dressed". So I went back into my room to put on an outfit that was more dressy. We started our drive downtown where we had reservations at our favorite restaurant. On the way downtown my fiance asked me if we could meet his mom at the downtown walking bridge to go for a walk since we had some time to kill before our reservation. We parked & started walking up to the walking bridge. I saw his mom & she was standing on the bridge with 3 roses & our friend was standing beside her with a camera. My fiances mom handed me a rose & said "Happy Fall". My parents then turned around & handed me their roses & said "Happy Fall". By this point I knew something was about to happen, but was in complete shock. My fiance pulled my hand & told me to keep walking. I kept asking him what's going on & he just said let's just keep walking. As we started walking I saw his mother's friend standing with a rose when we walked up to her she gave me a hug & said " Happy Fall". I continued walking & began to see our friends spread down the bridge. As we walked each one of our friends would give me a rose, a hug & say "Happy Fall". We got in the middle of the bridge where one of my best friends stood with her husband. This was the point where her husband & my fiance passed off the rings. He guided me over to the side of the bridge. At this point the sun was beginning to set. He got down on one knee told me a lot of sweet things I can't even remember then pointed to the other bridge. I then could see 12 black umbrellas with white letters (painted by my fiance) that spelled out "Will You Marry Me)? The umbrellas was being held by 12 of our friends. I said YES! We was surrounded by our friends & family for that special moment. We then had dinner to celebrate at our favorite restaurant where on the table was big letters cut out  I <3 You. The I was cut out with pictures of my fiance. on the <3 (heart shape) pictures was of the two of us together. Then on the you there was pictures of just me. & he caught the whole thing on Camera.

Ayy Ladies

All fun. No stress. & more importantly, no men! That is what a ladies weekend is sorry to our men. With that in mind it was time to unwind for us ladies!

Saturday we had lunch together & was able to enjoy our lunch outside where we had warmer weather. It was so nice not to have to eat inside. After lunch we started getting ready to go out for dinner/bar/club. Not gonna lie by the time us ladies had finished trying on a thousand different outfits, jewelry combos & shoes it had gotten quite a bit chillier outside & super windy. We did frown faces needless to say. We had dinner at Demos & decided we needed a dessert so of course we shared one :) That makes it better right? & not so bad for us? After we was stuffed we then headed to the club. That was a bit challenging. You see little miss Sayrah decided not to check to make sure she had her license which just so happened to be in the mister's wallet & not hers. Therefore Cheri decided that since she had both her normal license plus her army license she could try & use it. That left me to laugh out loud very hard. Because Sayrah has dark hair like me & Cheri has Blonde hair therefore I had to be like Cheri she has a better chance with my license lol except the only problem with that was the fact that I needed my license to get in. By this point we had no clue what to do except bat our eyes & hope to god that they let her in without an ID. Lucky for us we are some pretty sweet girls so it worked ;) Wahoo we loved that bouncer needless to say. He made our night better by allowing us in with little miss aka I don't got my license with me. We had tons of drinks throughout the night & really had tons of fun with just us girls. Not gonna lie we was sending text messages to our men whom we missed but we needed this weekend for only us ladies. We had so much fun together. I love my ladies to the moon & back. We finally ended our night around 3 AM exhausted & ready to pass out.

Here are some of the photos we took :)

Sunday we had brunch at 11 AM. We had a pizza buffet, & it was very yummy! Our hangovers however was not so heartfelt.  After brunch we went to see Cheri's mamma & Cheri's hubby's parents/sister. It was nice getting to see everyone. While at mamma's we seen the peacock & I had to take pictures. I wish peacock would have spread its pretty feathers though. After all the visiting was over it was time for girls weekend to end. It was now gonna be some hours spend with the mister's :) It was a great way to end the night. Plus it was raining & thundering outside so that meant great cuddle time which was even better always!

Here is Peacock...

Baked Parmesan Paprika Chicken

Cooking to me has been special for years. What makes it special was not the food itself persay but the fact that I enjoyed whom taught me how too cook with love. Granny Dimple was such a southern lady whom cooked all kinds of food from appetizers, main courses, to desserts.

I always loved how the aromas sprinkled the air & tickled noses of those whom was in the kitchen at Granny Dimple's home. It always brought me a sense of warmth & safety to sit on the kitchen island counter & watch her cook as well as help. It kinda was a safety blanket for me I guess one could say.

I am so blessed to have had a granny whom was so patient with me as she learned me too cook with love over the years. I would never trade those years for nothing. Once she passed away I remember she looked at me & said such sweet heartfelt words. I will never forget those words which was: please never stop cooking! You have so much heart when you cook sweet girl... Remember that you will mess some dishes up but you will get so many more right. You have a passion for this & you learned from the best granny whom did it out of love. I hope someday I look down & see you teaching your kids how to cook with love & passion as I did you when you was growing up. Please never stop just because I am now gone because I will always be with you please know that!

To hear those words broke my heart into pieces but for her I have never stopped. I enjoy it just as much now at the age of 24 as I did when I was a sweet tiny thing. I hope she really does look down & see how much love & passion I still have for cooking & I hope someday she can as well see me teach my children how great cooking can be when it is done with passion & love!

2. Combine flour, parmesan, paprika, salt, & pepper in a bowl. In a seperate bowl, whisk together the egg & milk. Dip the chicken into the egg mixture, then dredge in the flour mixture. Place in the baking dish, & pour the melted butter evenly over the chicken.

If I had to rate the chicken with 5 stars being the best, I would rate this a 4. I loved how it turned out. It had great flavors & very tender! I do not know that I would ever rate much a 5 because I do not think one thing will ever be truly too perfect too eat :) So if you ladies decide to make this I promise you will enjoy it! Then you can thank me later for sharing this great recipe with you lovely ladies!

Resolutions!

I know many always make NYE resolutions. & too be honest I did to some degree but to another I did not... I know what do you mean is what you ladies are wondering right well it goes like this!

The cool crisp evening air in downtown Nashville was not welcomed. The rain put a damper on our night but we still made the best of it. I had decided that years past I always make these huge resolutions & well let me just be honest & say that I mostly do not stick with them sadly :( I may stick to them for a month or two but that is about it. So Instead of saying oh these will be for sure my resolutions I decided to say I will work at these instead & so far that has seemed to work much easier thus far.

I did make a few resolutions that I do not & will not share for now with you ladies but here are a few that I did decided on:
1. I wanted to do more walk/run marathons this year. Last year I did a color run & mud run that was it so to add a few more this year sounds great :)
2. I wanted to be a bit healthier. I am not one to eat sweets or junk food but I do love my cokes sadly so I decided that I was going to try my hardest to no longer drink cokes. & I am proud to announce that so far I am 2 weeks strong of no cokes :) I am so very proud of myself. The mr is super healthy & I am so proud of him so I am trying to be proud of myself as well...
3. I at the beginning of last year took tons of photos but toward the end slacked off so I promised myself that I would do better this year & I really hope I stick to it & take more photos :) because I enjoy it so very much...

No more presents to open, no more family functions, no more decor for Christmas its all gone until next year & that excites me just a bit ok I lie just a lot... Sorry ladies!

5. That I have not eaten any junk food. I have never really ate a lot but not to have any makes me one happy girl! I need my summer body back...

Movie Review

I met up with my sweet madre the other night to see the new Texas Chainsaw Massacre movie. The Mr thinks I am cray cray for liking them he says don't you know they are fake? Well yes hunny I do know that however they are still good & will always be one of my favorite type movies to watch :) I even said it all with a smile on my face as I walked out the door! He does so much better when I wanna watch a romantic movie, He is a great cuddle bug then :)

My madre & I enjoyed it however I will always be the first to admit that the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre will always be the best one made but that I do love all the new ones made.

If I had to rate it out of 5 stars I would say it would be about 3 1/2 stars. It could have been a tad bit more scarier. But as far as understanding the concept of the story it was great :)

Here is a little video of the movie for you ladies to enjoy if you like scary movies. If not I am sorry ladies! I hope you all have a great night...

A Ruff Few Weeks

I am sure by now you ladies have noticed that I have not been on the blog pretty much this whole month. December was not only a very busy month but a very sad month as well.

During December my life revolved around work, family, friends & loved ones! No lie... You would think I would have tons to talk about & I do believe me however I do not even know where to begin at.

I can however try to sum it all up & not shed half as many tears so hear it goes!

December consisted of the following:
Work Monday-Friday wake up at 4:30 AM & I am at work by 6 AM getting off by 2 PM. It has been so tiring. & I still am on that schedule for now until like mid month coming up... Ugh :(

Went with friends to Opry Land Hotel to see the lights & Ice

Had my family get to gathers.

The mr & I went with his family to Opry :)

One of my sweet friends lost her 1 year old little girl to cancer! That was a hard time for us all... It broke our hearts :(

Went shopping with the girls a few times

Brought in the new year with my girls! Hello 2013 goodbye 2012

Me & my girls got super sick :( for a whole week worth! It has been hell so that has been my month! Hope you all have a better one then I have sweet ladies! So I am sorry for being mia but I have just been to tired & exhausted to  want to write or share anything on the blog sadly :(

Cray Cray Downtown Nashville For NYE

As we got out of the warmth of our vehicle we felt a coldness which automatically gave us all rosy red cheek's, as if we was blushing. We knew we would have a good little lengthy walk. We parked at 8th & had to walk to 2nd. See where lengthy comes in at? On top of the coldness that filled the night air it was sprinkling rain as well which just added to the cold. Once we got to 2nd we decided to go inside Wild Horse Saloon. We all learned new line dances & let me just say some we did good at & some we just flat out bombed them.

The remainder of 2012 I spend with some of my sweet friends whom I love dearly! It was so much fun & I could not have had better company to bring in the year of 2013 :) We all watched the node drop & once that was over we was back to the car to get warm & remove our wet clothing. & yes you heard right we did remove all our wet clothing well almost all of it then drove back home to change into comfy clothes, slip under covers with our loved ones & pass out...

I hope you sweet ladies had a great NEW YEAR :)

P.S I am sorry that the video is sideways :( I do not know how to turn it... But at least you can hear me do the countdown :) Sorry that us ladies was a hot mess but please remember it was raining & the last thing we was trying to do was look cute!
