Cades Cove Photography

While in Cades Cove I had my sweet mother take a few photos of me! Trying to explain to her how to take them & such was a little hard but nothing I could not handle! Thank goodness I can edit & crop photos! She still has a lot to learn but I do not expect her to be perfect when taking them because if anyone knows practice makes perfect then that would be me!
I hope you ladies enjoy them :) I cannot wait to place one or two of these into my Christmas card for my family & friends..

Cades Cove & A LIttle History Intact

I wish I could say that is was a perfect day for sightseeing however, sadly it was not the perfect day. I had not been to Cades Cove in quiet some time so I knew I wanted to go regardless of how chilly it might.

Cades Cove is one of the most visited areas in the Smokey's as well as in the Carolina's. While there we are able to explore historic cabins, churches, grist mill, deer, turkeys, & black bears. The view itself has an 11 mile scenic view drive & if that is not enough to suit your happiness your more then welcome to enjoy the trails in which you are able to walk on.

This is the honeymoon cabin that John & Laura Oliver had built for their son to use once married. John & Laura was the first white settlers in Cades Cove & bought this property in 1826.

Colonel Hamp Tipton built this home for his two daughters whom taught school in the cove.

This is known as a corn crib! Each year the corn supplies went into this little unique beauty.

Above are 4 more photos I took of the landscape while there! I wish it had not been so chilly so that I could have gotten out & taken more photos of the other buildings! I have decided that once summer arrives I will be making a trip to revisit so that I can take even more photos of the cabins & such :)

Things I Am Loving

I am loving that our trip to Gatlinburg was so much! That is why I have been so MIA.. Sorry but not sorry!

I am loving that we shopped until we dropped literally! By the time we finished we was so exhausted & ready for bed..

I am loving that we enjoyed Dollywood 2 of the days we was in Gatlinburg.. It was so much fun riding rides with the family :)

I am loving that we got to eat at a few of our favorite place while there! One of them being the Old Mill.

I am loving that on the the way back home I got to see Sara & my sweet niece! Ugh she is getting to big for my liking..

I am loving that Friday Dustin & I will be Nashville to see Ice featuring Frosty & the Opry Hotel lights :) Cannot wait..

PLEASE REMEMBER TODAY...

Since I was a little girl I have grown up having family whom have served our country then once older I have had significant others serve as well as friends! I know all too much about what they have sacrificed! With that I want to say thank you so much to every single brave woman & man whom has served our country to allow us our freedom! Thank you for the ultimate sacrifice, sacrificing time with family, braving the unspeakable, & missing significant milestones that so many take for granted. Freedom is far from free without a doubt it comes at a price.. HAPPY VETERANS DAY!!
