Since it's Thanksgiving, I decided to write about what my family means to me. After all family is something to be very thankful for. I grew up with more then my fair share of 3 aunts & 1 uncle & with them came plenty of cousins & by plenty I think its safe to say there is around 40 of us if not more! Now that is a big family & that includes only my mother's side not my father's. If you added his there would be a whole lot more. See I have plenty told you!
What family means to me is more then mere words can describe. It's been the basis for my life & how I have faced each day. My parents instilled in me a sense of worth & love for family. I do not think that anyone could make it through most obstacles that everyday life brings to them without the love of their family.
The holiday festivities, picnics for birthdays, vacations at least 3 times a year together, & sleepover weekends are just a few examples from my childhood memories that show the warmth of my family & how close we all are to each other & what they mean to me.
My parents T.L.C has made me know & feel the warmth that bonds a family together. Even now being grown & on my own. I still call to see how my parents are, family are & so forth. I love the life I now have as an adult with my own home & family but I will forever & always still love the first home & family I ever grew up knowing.
Family can mean a lot to many people. It can also stir up feelings of love, joy, & comfort as well as hate, resentment, & discord. What does it bring up for you? What are the first things that come to your mind when you even hear the word family? If the feelings are anything but positive, try & find out why. Do you possibly remember an exact time when the thought of family was the best thought in the world? Or was there a time you shunned even the notion of the word? Maybe you despise even the sound of it as it rolls off your tongue, even now.

What a great post, thank you for reminding us all to be thankful if we have an amazing family, because there are plenty of people who don't. And I love that you guys have family sleepovers, we do too! So fun :)
